How to Get There
There are two ways to get to the Cozumel:
Fly into Cancun International Airport. Take a bus/taxi to Playa De Carmen which is a 40 minute ride.
Cost is approximately $12 per person by bus taxi rates vary. Once in Playa De Carmen take the ferry across to Cozumel about a 30 minute ride.

A valid passport (for U.S. citizens) is mandatory for clearance. Visa will be issued to US citizens. An Immigration arrival card must be completed before you enter the country; an Immigration departure card must be completed before you depart.

Name: Meaning “Land of the Swallows,” Cozumel’s name originates from the story of Ix Chel. Legend has it that all Mayan women made the journey to the island from the mainland at least once in their life, and as a gratuitous gesture Ix Chel, the moon goddess, released flocks of swallows to the island each spring.
